Elvir Prasovic was added to Coach Inverso’s coaching staff in July of 2014 with the main responsibility of preparing the Broncs goalkeepers and helping out with all facets of the program. Before arriving at Rider Coach Elvir served as an assistant coach at Bloomfield College where he helped the Bears earn a berth in the CACC playoffs.
Prior to entering the coaching ranks at the collegiate level, Elvir served as the head coach of New Brunswick High School in New Brunswick, NJ for five seasons. At New Brunswick he compiled a record of 53-30-4 while leading the Zebras to the Middlesex County White Division Championship in 2009 and taking several of his teams deep into the Group III State Tournament. In 2009 Elvir was also voted Middlesex County Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year.
A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Coach Elvir was a four-year starter for the Knights in goal and served as a team captain in his senior season (2007). His playing stints after graduation included the Brooklyn Knights, Jersey Express and NJ Rangers of the Professional Development League (PDL). Since graduation Elvir has coached various youth team throughout the state of New Jersey and currently coaches at NJ Elite.
Elvir is a History teacher at New Brunswick High School and currently holds a US Soccer Federation C License, NSCAA National Diploma and the NSCAA National GK Diploma. Since Elvir’s arrival in 2014 the Rider Broncs have earned back-to-back berths into the MAAC championships winning the MAAC conference in 2015 and reaching the prestigious NCAA tournament in 2015.
