Former Louisiana Tech volleyball player Gabryel Ording enters her fourth season as an assistant coach on the LA Tech coaching staff after rejoining the Lady Techsters in 2013.

Over the past three seasons at Louisiana Tech, Ording has helped manufacture a revival of the Louisiana Tech volleyball program serving both as an assistant coach and a recruiting coordinator.

When Ording joined the volleyball program in 2013, the Lady Techsters were coming off of a three-win season and have improved in total wins in every year since. In 2015, Ording helped guide Louisiana Tech to more conference wins than in the previous four seasons combined.

Improved success has not just come on the court but in the classroom. Following the 2015 season, five Lady Techsters were named to the Conference USA Commissioners Academic Honor Roll and one, Jacie McClure, was selected to the 2015 Conference USA All-Academic Team.

Ording completed her senior season and earned her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech in kinesiology in November 2012 and a master’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Performance in 2015.

Over the course of her time at Louisiana Tech, Ording lettered all four years and was also the volleyball program representative in the SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee).
