Coastal Carolina named H.B. Lockwood assistant women’s soccer coach in May 2017.

Lockwood, who will serve as Coastal’s goalkeepers coach, spent the last three seasons in a similar role at Lynn University. In his three years as at Lynn, while helping rebuild the program, he was able to help the defensive unit decrease their goals against by at least 10 goals in both the 2015 and 2016 seasons. During his time at Lynn he was able to work with one NSCAA All-Region and three All-Sunshine State Conference performers.

Besides his coaching experience at the college level, Lockwood has previously worked with Team Boca as the Director of Goalkeeping, coached with the South Carolina Olympic Development Program, T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson, Carolina Elite Soccer Academy and for the Catawba Valley Youth Soccer Association.

Lockwood graduated cum laude from Limestone University in 2011 with Bachelors of Science degrees in marketing, management and sport management. He completed his M.B.A. with a concentration in international business from Lynn in the spring of 2017.
