Henry Apaloo is in his first season in 2016 as an assistant coach with FGCU following a 12-year career as both a player and a coach at Division-II Barry University in Miami Shores. Apaloo assists with recruiting, scouting and player development with the Eagles.

Apaloo was a four-year letterwinner with Barry from 2004-08, served as a graduate assistant coach for the team from 2008-10 and has spent the past six years as an assistant coach. As a coach with the Buccaneers, Apaloo helped guide the program to two NCAA Tournament appearances (2009, 2013), and produce nine all-region players and five all-Americans. As a player with the Buccaneers, Apaloo led the team in points as a junior (29) and senior (19), scoring 11 goals and distributing seven assists in 2006 and netting seven goals with five helpers in 2007. He served as the team captain for three out of his four years with the Buccaneers.

A native of Blackburn, England, Apaloo came up through the Premier League Academy system, having spells at Blackburn Rovers, Manchester United and Bolton Wanderers. He also spent two years with Preston North End FC, as well as playing for the Lancashire Football Academy. Later, he went on to play for the England National Futsal Team (five-on-five) in the summer of 2008.

Aside from his playing and coaching experience, both in the U.S. and overseas, Apaloo holds a Football Association (FA) Level 2 Coaching Badge, an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, an NSCAA Level 1 Goalkeeping Certificate and a USSF D License.
