Coach James Kryger begins his sixth season as the Sailfish women’s soccer head coach at Palm Beach Atlantic University. During this time, he has guided the women’s soccer program to 50 wins in five seasons and led the team to the NCCAA National Tournament on four occasions.

Kryger’s leadership is evident both on the field and in the classroom. His team earned their fifth straight NSCAA/Adidas Team Academic Award following the 2012 season.

Last season, the Sailfish finished 13-5-2 while claiming the NCCAA South Region Championship. Kryger earned NCCAA Region Coach of the Year honors while goalkeeper Allison Fox was named the NCCAA South Region Player of the Year.

Those were not the only individual accolades earned by the team. Four players were named NCCAA All-Americans while three players earned NSCAA All-Region honors. The team was also consistently ranked in the NSCAA regional rankings throughout the campaign.

The top season during his coaching tenure came in 2010 as the team made an appearance in the NCCAA National Championship match falling eventually in penalty kicks to be named the National Runner-Up.
