Coach Jamie Peterson has quickly developed a winning tradition at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. One that has seen the Eagles become one of the top soccer college programs in the country. Peterson, who owns a career mark of 73-23-11 (.73) and 45-11-6 (.77) mark for the men’s program since becoming the head men’s soccer coach at OKWU. Peterson has incorporated a style of play that is attacking-minded, leading the nation in total assists (85), (4.05 per game) and 2nd in total goals (93) in 2012. His defensive strategies helped the Eagles to be ranked 2nd in the nation in total shutouts (12) in 2012. Oklahoma Wesleyan University set a school record with 19 wins in a season and finished with the best record in the country in 2012 at 19-1-1.
