Jason Brown is in his first season at DePauw after coaching at Defiance College (Ohio) in 2012.

Brown was the assistant coach for men’s and women’s soccer and was responsible for goalkeeping development, management of team travel, student athlete academic development, game management, and video editing.  He was also involved with regional recruiting and coordinating campus visits.

Before coaching at Defiance, Brown worked as the boys and girls goalkeeping coordinator for the Indiana Olympic Development Program.  He served as the girls staff coach and Region II girls staff coach.  Additionally, Brown spent time as a volunteer assistant for the Zanesville Athletic Football Club of the National Premiere Soccer League (NPSL) where he was in charge of talent identification.

Brown was involved with multiple soccer organizations in the Indianapolis area including Indiana TOPSoccer, where he was the state director and a member of the US Region II Development Committee.  He was responsible for procuring funding and marketing opportunities for TOPSoccer, educating potential members on the values of TOPSoccer, and development and implantation of TOPSoccer Academy.
