Jeff Calhoon joins the Warriors coaching staff as he begins his first year of college coaching. His primary responsibility will be working with the catchers. Calhoon has spent the past two seasons playing for Niagara University, in Niagara Falls, New York, where he was the starting catcher both seasons. Prior to attending Niagara, he played two seasons at Skagit Valley College, in Mount Vernon, Washington, where he was an all-conference catcher. Along with playing at multiple college levels, Calhoon also brings playing experience from two of the premier collegiate summer leagues. He played for the Bellingham Bells of the West Coast Collegiate League and the Edenton Steamers of the Coastal Plains League. During his time in Edenton, he was a member of the top-ranked team in 2011 according to Perfect Game Baseball. Calhoon has spent the past summer coaching in his hometown of Snohomish, Washington for the Seattle Stars 18u team.
