Jeremy Clark joined the UCSB soccer staff before the 2016 season. A former Michigan State goalie, Clark is the primary goalkeeping coach for the Gauchos.

Most recently serving as the Goalkeeping Coach at the Santa Barbara Players’ Academy, Clark has made a number of coaching stops since graduating from Michigan State in 2011.

A Sterling Heights, Mich. native, Clark has spent the past few years on the club circuit, serving as Director of Goalkeeping at TNT Soccer Club in Lansing, Mich. and head coach of the Indiana Fire Jr’s South Club.

Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach at the University of Evansville. He made his first coaching stop at his alma mater, where he served as an assistant coach for two years.

As a collegiate player, Clark helped the Spartans to a Big 10 Championship in 2008. He received his most extensive playing time as a redshirt senior in 2011, as he played every minute of every game for Michigan State with a 0.94 goals against average and an .802 save percentage. He recorded five shutouts that season.

Clark currently holds a USSF C coaching license. He earned his B.A. in sociology from Michigan State before receiving a M.A. in health service administration from the University of Evansville.
