Jess Kodiak has been named an assistant women’s soccer coach at Ohio Northern University for the 2017-2018 campaign. She joins the Polar Bears after serving as a Graduate Assistant for the Ohio University women’s soccer team, while getting her Master’s Degree in Coaching Education.

Prior to her stint at OU, Kodiak served as a Volunteer Assistant at Miami (Ohio) University for one year. A 2013 graduate of Miami (Ohio) University, Kodiak earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a focus on supply chain management.

Kodiak was named the team captain during the 2012 season where the Redhawks claimed the Mid-American Conference Regular Season and Tournament Titles and made it to the Second Round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.

Kodiak was named NSCAA Third Team All-America, MAC Offensive Player of the Year, Academic All-MAC, All-MAC First Team, First Team All-Great Lakes Region and 2012-13 Miami Female Athlete of the Year during her senior season.

She currently owns the single season assists record at MU with 12 and racked up 32 goals, 29 assists and 90 points in her career.
