Jim McGonigle enters his first season with the Rollins baseball program as the Tars newly-named pitching coach.  McGonigle will assume his duties immediately with the departure of former pitching coach Sean O’Connor.

McGonigle comes to Rollins after spending last season at Wake Forest.  He served as the director of baseball operations for the Demon Deacons.

He spent the first four years of his collegiate career at the University of New Orleans before transferring to Texas State to complete his eligibility.  In his first two seasons at UNO, he combined for a 3-2 record and 53 strikeouts.  Redshirting the 2009 season, McGonigle bounced right back for his final season as a Privateer and posted a 4.99 ERA in 43.1 innings pitched.
