John Fogarty joins the LIU Brooklyn men’s soccer team as the graduate assistant coach, working mainly with the team’s goalkeepers.

During a four-year playing career at Villanova University, Fogarty was the starting goalkeeper for two season and was named Big East Goalkeeper of the Week and awarded the Defensive MVP Team Award during his senior year. During his junior year, he was Philadelphia Soccer Six Goalkeeper of the Year and SoccerSavings.com National Player of the Week.

Fogarty also played for the Ocean City Nor’easter’s PDL team while in high school and college. During his senior year at Villanova, he was a member of the record-setting team of nine shutouts that season and he tied the career shutout record of 16.
