The 2016 season will mark the first for Jon Mroz as a volunteer assistant on head coach Louis Bennett’s staff. Mroz is a soccer fixture in the Milwaukee area, bringing 30 years of coaching experience to the Golden Eagles program.
The Milwaukee area native won three state championships as a player at Marquette University High School from 1984-86 before embarking on an illustrious four-year playing career at UW-Milwaukee, where he still owns the single-season record for shutouts (10 – 1990) as a goalkeeper. Mroz went on to play professionally, spending stints with the Milwaukee Wave and Rampage in the early-1990s before getting into the coaching ranks.
