Jonathan Decker is the newest addition to the Cal Lutheran Regals soccer staff under head coach Frank Marino.

Jonathan has been involved in soccer for the past 21 years. He was a player for a number of different clubs before finishing off his club career at LAFC Chelsea’s Academy. Jonathan was a four year varsity starter at Royal High School in Simi Valley, Calif. before continuing his education and playing career at California State University, Monterey Bay. He was a starting center midfielder for the Otters before a knee injury curtailed his playing for a couple of seasons. He finished his senior year and senior season in 2014 before graduating with a B.S. in Kinesiology focusing on Exercise Science.

He is currently pursuing his M.B.A. Jonathan is entering his second year of coaching since graduating from college. Last year he was the coach for a U15 girls team at a club in his hometown of Simi Valley, as well as the assistant coach for the Moorpark College women’s soccer team under head coach Miguel Ruiz where they were Regional Finalists and Western Conference Champions.
