Jonny Brown will be entering his second season (2016-17) as the Graduate Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer.
Prior to coming to SBU Johnny was the Men’s and Women’s Assistant Soccer Coach at Truman State University. In 2013, he helped coach the Women’s team to their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2010. He also helped the team to a 2nd place finish in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). In 2012 as the Men’s Assistant Coach, Jonny was responsible for coaching the team’s attack. He helped guide the team to 3rd place finish in the MIAA conference. The team also placed seven players on All-Conference teams and two players on All-Region teams.
Jonny graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communication in 2013. While at TSU, Brown was a four-year starter for the nationally ranked Men’s soccer team and he helped lead the team to the NCAA tournament in 2010. He was a two-time Daktronics 1st Team All-Region selection. In 2009, he ranked 3rd nationally in assists per game and ranks in Truman State’s top 10 in career assists.
Jonny Brown, a native of Perth, Scotland currently resides in Bolivar, Missouri.
