Jordan Lay is in his first season as associate head coach of the Wofford volleyball program. He was hired on May 16, 2016, and most recently served as head coach at NCAA Div. II West Alabama from 2013-15.

Lay serves as Wofford volleyball’s recruiting coordinator and will work primarily on the court with middles and right sides. He is also in charge of the team’s video breakdown and scouting.

Lay instilled passion, unity and pride in a West Alabama program that went 3-13 in Gulf South Conference play the year before he took over. He coached the Tigers to five conference victories in 2013, seven in 2014 and a respectable 9-11 mark this past season. The team’s nine conference wins marked its most since 2011.

A native of Indianapolis, Ind., Lay earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Butler in 2011.
