Western Michigan first-year head men’s soccer coach Chad Wiseman announced the hiring of Josh Ross as assistant coach on March 4, 2013. Ross served under Wiseman for three years at Olivet College in a similar role, prior to Wiseman taking the helm at Western Michigan. While at Olivet, Ross helped lead the Division III Comets to a national top 25 ranking and an appearance in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship game in each of the last two seasons. The Comets finished 2012 with a 16-5-1, 10-4 MIAA record, setting the school record for single-season wins, MIAA wins as well as MIAA points (30).
