Josh Roy, a 2007 Gustavus graduate, is entering his third season as Head Coach Mike Middleton’s lead assistant within the Gustavus Adolphus College men’s soccer program. Following his undergraduate work at Gustavus, Roy dove into the coaching ranks as a staff trainer with Coerver Coaching and the Eden Prairie Soccer Club in 2008.  After four years with the Eden Prairie Soccer Club, Josh served as a staff coach for the Edina Soccer Club from 2012-to-2014. At the high school level, Roy worked as an assistant coach for the boy’s soccer team at the Academy of Holy Angels from 2010-to-2011.  After Holy Angels, Roy moved on to the Eden Prairie girl’s soccer team where he worked as an assistant from 2012-to-2014. Josh, who has also coached for the Minnesota Olympic Development Program since 2009 and US Soccer Region II since 2015, holds his U.S. Soccer B License, U.S. Soccer National Youth Diploma, Coerver Youth Diploma, NSCAA High School Diploma, and NSCAA Goalkeeper Level 1 and 2 License.
