Justin Gilfert joined the St. Bonaventure men’s soccer coaching staff for the 2017 season.

A native of Olean, Gilfert graduated from Hilbert College in December after playing for the Hawks the previous three seasons. At Hilbert, he was part of a squad that reached the quarterfinals of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship twice and provided 11 assists over three seasons.

He also played for FC Quake for two seasons, reaching the Championship Final in the Buffalo District Soccer League in 2015 and 2016. During his time there, he scored 10 goals and added five assists.

Gilfert also played for Chivas USA Academy in Florida following graduation, the No. 1-ranked soccer academy in Florida and third-ranked in the nation.

An all-star player at Hinsdale High School, he played in Spain during his senior year before graduating to Finger Lakes Community College where he suited up during his freshman season. He then transferred to Hilbert College.
