Karin Nordin is in her first season as a member of the Rutgers University-Newark women’s soccer coaching staff. She will assist Head Coach Ariana Ruela in all aspects of the program.
Nordin will serve as the program’s graduate assistant as she pursues a Master’s degree from Rutgers-Newark. From Sweden, Nordin received her Associates of Arts in Marketing, Communications and Political Science from Santa Barbara City College and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations/Affairs from San Francisco State University.
Nordin played professionally in Sweden from 2004-11 for Sundsvalls Damfotbolls Forening in Sweden, and then collegiately at Santa Barbara and San Francisco. She was a CCCAA Academic All-State squad honoree in 2015, earning Inspirational Leadership awards at both institutions. Nordin was a volunteer assistant at San Francisco, and she worked all over the United States coaching for One Soccer Schools in 2016. A goalkeeper by trade, Nordin was a coach for the World Cup Soccer Camps, Peninsula United and Sundsvalls Gymnasium in Sweden.
