Kohl Orner joined the men’s soccer staff as an assistant coach in March 2017. Prior to Averett, Orner served as the goalkeeper coach at Lebanon Valley College and worked with a few soccer clubs as well as U14 and U15 national team goalkeeper candidates.
A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Orner graduated with a degree in education from Division II Millersville University in 2016, where he played soccer for two seasons. He started as a goalkeeper his junior and senior seasons, recording 99 saves and 13 shutouts. In 2015, he led the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference with 10 shutouts and finished his career with the best goals against average (0.790) in program history. Orner earned all-conference and all-region honors.
He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in education at Averett.
