Former U.S. Women’s National Team member and three-time NSCAA All-American Kristen Weiss enters her second season as an assistant coach with the University of Wisconsin women’s soccer program in 2014. In her first season in Madison, the former All-American forward helped guide Rose Lavelle to become just the 16th first-team All-Big Ten honoree in school history and the first player in UW history to earn the 2013 Big Ten Freshman of the Year honor. Weiss’ expertise paid dividends for UW in 2013, as the team clinched double-digit victories for the fifth-straight season, while also helping flashy midfielder Kinley McNicoll pace the Badgers in points (25) and assists (13) en route to becoming a second-team All-Big Ten selection.
