Kristy-Rose Dougherty begins her ninth season at Rider as an assistant coach in 2013.
Dougherty, a 2001 Rider graduate with a degree in Communications was a member of the inaugural Rider women’s soccer team. A two-time All-MAAC selection, Dougherty was voted second team All-American for first-year teams by Soccer Buzz Magazine. A team captain and team MVP at Rider, Dougherty was a four-year starter, scoring 18 points (five goals, eight assists) in 77 games. “Doc” currently ranks 21st all-time at Rider in points, and is tied for 12th in assists.
At St. Basil Academy Dougherty was a four-year varsity starter and two-time team captain. Three times she earned All-AACA honors in high school. A five-year member of the EPYSA ODP program, and a three-year member of the New Jersey Wildcats, Dougherty remains active coaching girls youth soccer in Pennsylvania.
