Leanne Benson is a 2014 graduate of Iona College where she played at the Division I level for four years. Predominantly a defender, Leanne scored one goal and had two assists in her time. She earned All-Conference Academic Team throughout her collegiate career and started the majority of all games. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Math Education.

Leanne earned her USSF “D” License in 2010 and has coached for LaGrange Soccer Club, Coerver Academy, and Klassic Soccer. In addition, she was an Eastern New York ODP Evaluator and played on the state team for four years during her youth.

In 2008, Leanne played on a select team in Italy against high level teams from Northern Italy. That summer, she played in the Empire State Games in Binghamton, New York. She is from Cortlandt Manor, New York and was a four year varsity starter and All-Conference player at Hendrick Hudson High School.

Leanne is currently a full time Math and Physics teacher at Salesian High School in New Rochelle, New York.
