After spending a season as a student assistant coach for Tarleton’s baseball team, Mark Jeffery has been named the newest assistant coach for the Texans.

Prior to his Tarleton coaching career, Jeffery played for the Texans for two seasons after a two year stint at Western Texas College. As a Texan, Jeffery was an All-Conference selection both years as a catcher. His junior year he broke the school single-season hit-by-pitch record with 22. In his senior year he tallied a career-high nine home runs and again set the single-season hit-by-pitch record with 23. His 45 career hit-by-pitches are also good for a school record.
