Martin Wood joined the University of Pennsylvania women’s soccer staff prior to the 2013 season and recently completed his first campaign with the Quakers. A longtime youth soccer coach in the area, Wood currently works with South Jersey United FC as head coach for the club’s 96/97 and 97/98 teams. Wood was a Player Development Officer with Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. (New York played as the Metrostars in 2005.) In that position, he created and implemented team-specific development and individual player progress plans.
