Matt Davis was named the head men’s and women’s soccer coach at Mount Aloysius in January 2014. In his first season as head coach in the fall of 2014, Davis led the men’s program to the AMCC playoffs and AMCC Tournament Semifinals for the second consecutive season as the team won eight games. The women’s program won a school-record seven games and recorded a program-best five shutouts on the defensive end. Four men’s players and two women’s players were named to the All-Conference Team at the conclusion of the season (both program records) and a record three men’s players and two women’s players earned AMCC Player of the Week honors throughout the season. Davis previously served as an assistant coach for both programs during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. In the 2013 season, Davis helped lead both programs comprised mainly of underclassmen to new heights as the men’s and women’s sides each set school marks for victories in a season. The men’s program won 10 games, reached the AMCC playoffs for the first time in school history, and advanced to the AMCC Tournament Semifinals. The women’s team shattered every offensive record in program history while recording four shutouts defensively.
