Michael Thomas joined the Cal State Fullerton women’s soccer coaching staff in July of 2014 as an assistant coach.

During his first season, the Titans produced one of their most successful campaigns in program history, winning both the 2014 Big West regular season championship with an undefeated league record of 6-0-2, while also clinching the Big West Tournament title with victories over CSUN (semifinals) and Long Beach State (finals).

Fullerton made its sixth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history as the Titans were successful on both ends of the pitch. Fullerton ended the regular season on a 10-match unbeaten streak and seven-match winning streak as the Titan defense tied for first in the league allowing only five goals in conference matches. Offensively, Fullerton tied for first in the league with 13 goals in Big West games only.
