Michele McCullough, who served as a team manager for the Lamar University women’s soccer team in 2015, returns to the Cardinals as goalkeeper coach this season.

McCullough, a 2013 graduate of Southland Conference rival Sam Houston State with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, played four seasons for the Bearkats. Her best season was a junior in 2011, when she started 15 matches with a 1.98 goals-against average and three shutouts. She had one shutout in three games as a senior with a .880 save percentage.

The native of League City, Texas, was a two-time all-district goalkeeper at Clear Creek High School, helping the team win a district championship.

McCullough is pursuing a master’s degree in public health at Lamar University.t Lamar.
