Mike DeMara completed his first season as the Director of Soccer Operations for both the men’s and women’s programs in 2015. DeMara replaced Chris Harmon who is now an assistant coach with the ODU women’s staff.
DeMara came to ODU after spending two years (2013-14) as the assistant men’s soccer coach at Methodist University. In two season with Methodist, DeMara helped the program to a 24-10-3 overall record and 15-3-1 conference record. Methodist won the 2013 USA South regular season title, while also reaching the conference tournament championship game. In his two easons at Methodist, Demara saw his players earn 13 all-conference accolades, one Conference Player of the Year award, one Rookie of the Year award and one NSCAA All-Region honor. DeMara was responsible for all facets of the program including training, recruiting, travel, scouting, film, camps, and social media.
