Mike Madigan has been named the new head men’s soccer coach at Wartburg College, Athletic Director, Rick Willis, announced Dec. 22, 2016.

Madigan comes to Wartburg from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. where he served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator since 2012. The Scots won the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) championship in 2015 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament that season.

Prior to Macalester, Madigan was an assistant coach at George Washington University for two seasons and a volunteer assistant coach for one season. In 2011, the Colonials won the Atlantic 10 regular season championship and advanced to the championship game in the conference tournament.

Madigan holds the following certifications: USSF A License, USSF National Youth License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeper Diploma.
