Olen Parker enters his first season as an assistant coach on the Bulldog baseball staff after being hired in 2012 by head coach Wade Simoneaux.
Parker, a former standout player and assistant coach at Grambling State, brings a wealth of experience to the Bulldog program from a personnel and playing standpoint by assisting with the catchers, bullpen, infielders and hitters on a day-to-day basis.
Parker has also helped assist Simoneaux in the annual Top Dawg Baseball Camps for the past 10 years and has been an integral part of the success of those camps in the past.
In his playing career, Parker spent two years at Western Oklahoma State College where he led the team in stolen bases (82) during his career, before transferring to Grambling where he made an immediate impact for the Tigers’ baseball program.
