Richard Moodie enters his fifth season as head coach of the Eagle’s men’s soccer program and fourth at the helm of the women’s.

A native of Scotland, Moodie brings an international style of play to the pitch as a talented young coach.

In 2014, Moodie coached the Carson-Newman men’s soccer team to a third place finish in the SAC standings.

For his efforts in driving Carson-Newman’s men’s soccer team to its first national title game appearance ever in 2013, Moodie was named the CaptainU National Coach of the Year.  Along the way, Ross Frame earned All-American honors in 2013.  The Eagles defeated six ranked teams on their run to the title game before bowing out to Southern New Hampshire.

In 2012, Moodie coached five all-conference performers in Trsytan Dafydd, Rumwald Le Gueval, Sindre Welo, Taylor Jolley and Evan Preston Kelly.  The Eagles made the semifinals of the conference tournament.
