Escalera played for the Roadrunners in 2009 when hit hit .257 with two home runs and 23 RBI’s. Escalera set the school record for highest fielding percentage in a season when he did make an error in 197 chances during the 2009 campaign. After leaving the program, Escalera served as a baseball coach for Baldwin Park (2010-11) and San Dimas High Schools (2011-12) where both programs advanced to the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs. Escalera has also worked with the Southern California Bombers Baseball Organization (2006-12) and the Line Drive Baseball/Softball Academy (2011-12). Escalera was the athletic director at St. John the Baptist School in Baldwin Park, Calif. from Sept. 2010 to June 2011.
