Riley Piechnick enters her first season as an assistant women’s soccer coach at Gettysburg College in 2016.
Piechnick is a 2016 graduate of Division I Loyola University, where she was a three-year starter at defender. She helped Loyola to a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) title in 2012 before the Greyhounds moved into the Patriot League the following season. Piechnick would go on to start 49 of 53 games over her last three seasons and helped lead the team to its first-ever appearance in the Patriot League semifinals in 2015.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Piechnick graduated from Loyola with a degree in business administration and a specialization in marketing. A four-time selection to the Patriot League or MAAC Academic Honor Roll, she was also inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society. In addition, she was a four-year student-athlete advisory committee member.
As a coach, Piechnick served as an assistant with the Lutherville Timonium Soccer Club in 2015.
