Osborne came to Marietta after serving as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, the University of Charleston. While serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Charleston, Osborne was responsible for the startup and running of the UC-Beckley men’s soccer program which began in 2014. Prior to starting the UC-Beckley men’s soccer program Osborne was an assistant for the Division II Golden Eagles while finishing up his undergraduate studies. A native of Wakefield England, Osborne was a standout player for the Golden Eagles before he began his coaching career. While a player at Charleston Osborne was twice named to the Daktronics All Region team and was also an All WVIAC selection in 2011. In 2011 he led the team in assists and in 2010 the team advanced to the Sweet 16. During his time at Charleston Osborne was a part of teams that won four straight regular season and conference tournament championships. Following his collegiate career, Osborne played the summer 2014 season with the West Virginia Chaos in the Premier Development League (PDL). He was on a team that won the South Atlantic Division and advanced to the PDL Elite Eight. He split time as a forward and attacking midfielder and helped the team achieve their best season in franchise history. As a youth Osborne spent time in the Barnsley FC program.
