Sam Holmes is in his second year as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Limestone College after serving as the assistant coach at Minot State University (N.D.) from 2010.

In his first campaign with the Saints, Holmes helped guide Limestone to one of its best seasons in program history with a 10-4-3 record and a runner-up finish in the Conference Carolinas standings. His presence on the coaching staff played a large role in the mentorship of Gabriella Reid and Leah Kennington, the league’s Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively.

Holmes played an instrumental part in building Minot State into a regional powerhouse in just four short years. He helped launch the women’s soccer program in 2010 and promptly guided the Beavers to a 9-7-3 overall record and a berth in the NAIA postseason during the inaugural campaign.
