Samadhi Fisher will begin his first season as UIndy women’s soccer’s assistant coach, working specifically with goalkeepers, in 2017.
Fisher comes to UIndy from the University of La Verne, where he was a men’s assistant coach for a year and a half, where he was part of the SCIAC’s 2016 coaching staff of the year.
Before that, Fisher was with Pomona-Pitzer Colleges for six years as a women’s assistant coach, helping the Sagehens to an undefeated conference season and Elite Eight appearance in 2016. He also worked for MLS’ New York Red Bulls as a youth development coach for a season.
Fisher played semi-professionally for three seasons, where his teams won the Pacific Soccer League and Las Vegas Silver Mug titles. He also earned a cap in a World Cup tune-up against Trinidad and Tobago.
Fisher holds a US Soccer National C license, as well as his Premier Diploma and Goalkeeping Level Two Diploa from the NSCAA. He graduated with honors from Temple University with a B.A. in sociology and will complete his M.A. in coaching and athletc administration at Concordia University in March.
