Barton joined the Chapman coaching staff in 2008, having played for the Panthers from 2001-04 as a midfielder. In her four years, she led the Panthers to a 49-18-9 record in 72 games, including four NCAA tournament appearances. She totaled over 5,200 minutes played in 61 starts at midfield and also had three career assists.
