Former University of Charleston assistant coach Sean Fraser was tabbed as the fourth head coach of the Lincoln Memorial University women’s soccer program in January 2017. Fraser was selected to take over for Helio D’Anna, who will exclusively coach the men’s program after serving as the head men’s and women’s coach at Lincoln Memorial for the past 14 seasons.

Fraser – a native of Durham, England – arrives at Lincoln Memorial after a one-year stint as the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at University of Charleston. In his brief tenure in Charleston, W.V., Fraser helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 19-3-2 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA Division II National Championship game. Fraser was involved in every aspect of the program, as the Golden Eagles were ranked in the top five of every Division II poll during the 2016 campaign and won both the Mountain East Conference regular season and tournament titles.

Prior to his time in Charleston, Fraser was a phase coach for the Middlesbrough FC Centre of Excellence in Middlesbrough, UK from 2015-16. While at Middlesbrough, Fraser served as the head coach of the U17 women’s team, which had four players called up to the English National Team during his tenure. He was also promoted to the head coach of the Regional Development Center for male players while at FC Middlesbrough.

From 2011-15, Fraser served as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Midland University, where he compiled a 53-25-6 overall record, including a record-breaking 18-2-2 mark in 2013. In his four seasons in Fremont, Neb., Fraser coached 32 All-Great Plains Athletic Conference selections and two NAIA All-Americans, made four appearances in the GPAC Tournament championship game and won the 2013 GPAC Championship. In addition to the on-the-field success, Fraser’s Midland teams flourished in the classroom, as the Warriors were twice named as an NAIA Scholar-Athletic team.
