Seve Hirst enters his first season as a assistant coach for the Northeastern women’s soccer program in 2016.

Hirst previously served as a volunteer assistant coach at Holy Cross, and currently works as the Marketing and Design Director for the NWSL’s Boston Breakers.

Hirst also coaches for New England Football Club and has been involved in the Boston Breakers Academy for three seasons. Prior to joining the Breakers, Hirst worked in northern New Jersey for an NPL club, Morris United STA, during which time he served as the head coach and assistant coach for several youth teams.

Hirst also previously worked as the U-20 head coach and reserve team assistant coach for the Jersey Blues FC (WPSL), which was affiliated to the professional team, Sky Blue FC, at the time. He coached the U-20 team into the playoffs during its 2013 summer season.

Earlier in his career, Hirst coached for Global Premier Soccer, one of the largest soccer clubs in the United States, for over two years.

A native of England, Hirst graduated from Lancaster University (St. Martins College) in Lancashire, England in 2007 with an honors degree in Coaching and Sport Performance. He attained the NSCAA Premier Diploma in 2013, which requires the completion of a 45-hour course focused on advanced coaching in soccer, and has recently begun his USSF pathway with the goal of obtaining his ‘D license’ in late 2016.
