The 2013 season is Sophie Clough’s third year as an assistant coach with the Montana soccer program. She worked previously at Lamar. Clough joined third-year head coach Mark Plakorus’s staff in the summer of 2011, and the Grizzlies have experienced nothing but success since. In Montana’s first season under Plakorus and Clough, the Grizzlies won the 2011 Big Sky Conference tournament championship and advanced to the program’s first NCAA tournament since 2000. In 2012 Montana won 12 matches, the most since 2000, and claimed a share of the Big Sky regular-season title.
