UC Vice President of Athletics Randy Vernon has announced the hiring of Steve Hamilton as the new head coach of the Patriot Women’s Soccer team for the upcoming 2015-16 season. Coach Hamilton began his career as a soccer player as well as a track and field athlete at Roberts Wesleyan College from 1996-1999. He was graduated in 1999 with a degree in Education and Psychology. After graduation, he continued his playing career at a member of the United Soccer League (USL), playing for Frazier Valley in 2001. Hamilton comes to UC from Quincy, Massachusetts where he was the Head Coach at Eastern Nazarene College. During his 8 years at Eastern Nazarene, Hamilton went 58-83-12 and was named the Coach of the Year in 2007. He also coached ENU to their first ever home conference (TCCC) playoff game win in 2011 and hosted their first ever conference playoff semifinal game in 2014. He also coached ENU to play in their first ECAC tournament in school history in 2013. Previously, Coach Hamilton was at Genesee Community College in Batavia, New York where he went 20-16 in his two seasons there.
