Steve Klosterman is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach at Loyola University Chicago. Klosterman comes to Rogers Park after serving as the head boys coach at Orangewood Academy in Garden Grove, California.
Klosterman has extensive experience as a club volleyball coach in California and also served as a volunteer assistant coach with the men’s program at UCLA in 2008, where he was responsible for scouting and running the scout team.
A standout player at UCLA, Klosterman was a two-time All-American and helped the Bruins to the NCAA championship in 2006, when he was named Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament.
Following his collegiate career, the Long Beach, California native went on to play professional volleyball overseas from 2007-15 and was named Most Valuable Player in the Naranjito League in Puerto Rico after helping the club to a league championship.
