Suzette Soboti took over the position of head women’s soccer coach in April of 1998 and promptly led the Bulldogs to a second-place finish in the conference and the program’s first-ever winning season. Since her arrival at Redlands, the women’s soccer program has consistently finished in the top three of the conference, earning five second-place showings and four SCIAC Championships (2001, 2004, 2006, and 2008).
After guiding the team to its inaugural conference title and postseason appearance, Soboti was named the 2001 NSCAA West Region Coach of the Year. In 2004, she led the team to its first official playoff victory as the team defeated local rival Chapman University, 2-1. On the heels of the 2006 SCIAC championship, the Bulldogs served as hosts for the first-ever SCIAC Postseason Tournament. In one of her most successful seasons, Soboti guided Redlands to a Sweet-16 appearance during the record-breaking 2010 campaign.
