Ted Zingman, the winningest women’s soccer coach in HU history, starts his eighth year at the helm in 2014. Prior to his arrival on campus, HU had never recorded a winning season in women’s soccer. Hamline’s 9-6-3 overall record last year was the third consecutive winning campaign for the program. It was the fourth overall for Zingman, whose national recruiting strategy has landed top players from 11 different states, including Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Alaska, Montana, Nebraska, and Nevada. The Pipers have won 31 games overall the past three seasons, a figure topped only by three other schools in the league.
