Tim Bohnenkamp is in his first season as Rollins men’s soccer assistant coach. “We are excited to have Tim join our staff,” said Buckley. “His coaching experience and standout playing career are huge assets to our program. He immediately jumped right in and was instrumental in setting up a very successful preseason.”

Bohenknamp comes to Rollins after serving as assistant coach at Shattuck-St. Mary’s U16 team in Faribault, Minnesota.

Prior to Shattuck, Bohnenkamp enjoyed a very successful four-year run as assistant at Hastings College in Nebraska. During his stint with the Broncos (2009-12) they won their first ever NAIA National Championship and a runner-up finish in 2011. The school also had its first-ever national player of the year and also its first MLS draft pick. Bohnenkamp was also a part of the team’s NAIA-record 39 consecutive wins.

Bohnenkamp is a very accomplished player, both in college and professionally. He was the first pick in the second round of the 2010 MLS Supplemental Draft, going to the San Jose Earthquakes.

Bohnenkamp was an All-Missouri Valley Conference player at Creighton and a four-year letter winner. During his last year with the Blue Jays, Bohnenkamp played 20 games, scored two goals, and led the team with six assists. The midfielder was named to the MVC second-team as a senior, MVC All-Tournament Team as a junior, led the conference with 10 assists as a sophomore and started his career named to the MVC All-Freshman Team. Bohnenkamp’s 94 career matches played is 10th best in Creighton history. He ended his career with eight goals and 22 assists.
