In just two years, Tim Walters has helped Head Coach Jason Mims put the program on track to becoming a consistent winner and Summit League contender. After a 1-11-1 record in the program’s first season in 2011, Walters and Mims guided the Mavs to a 5-10-1 (3-3-1 Summit League) record in 2012, the team’s second year of existence and first in The Summit League. Walters, a former Creighton standout, came to UNO from Rollins College, in Winter Park, Fla., where he was an assistant under Head Coach Keith Buckley for one season, helping the Tars to a 15-4-3 overall record and a second-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament.
