In Tom Brown’s four seasons as head coach at Sam Houston State, the women’s soccer program has made impressive strides towards becoming a force in the Southland Conference. Brown became the second head coach in program history on June 18, 2008. That fall, the Kats produced the team’s first winning season, going 9-7. Sam Houston set school records for longest winning streak (7), consecutive shutouts (7) and fewest goals allowed (17).
