Tom Buckner enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach for Dr. Eric Johnson’s soccer program.
A former starting goalkeeper and Captain at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, he was named to the All-Conference Second Team in the Sun Belt Conference (2015), and was a two-time Defensive Player of the Week.
Most recently, Buckner spent six months coaching in Orlando, Fla., for GPS Orlando in the Global Premiere Soccer league. He currently holds a USSF E Coaching License.
Buckner earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Hartwick College in 2015, and is currently pursuing his Masters in Sport Management at Western Illinois.
